We could not agree with you more and we have never felt or thought otherwise: local agents are absolutely valuable in the home buying/selling process, especially when it comes to local knowledge and the sort of one-to-one attention that such a significant and meaningful step demands. We give them tons of data/insight and great tools, and connect them with experienced Pros like yourself. But at the end of the day this is about relationships and about people making big life decisions, and nothing can replace an experienced local agent on-the-ground, in the market, working face-to-face with them as a partner.

Couldn’t agree more with your “don’t blow it” comments to your peers. Yes! Responsiveness, listening and amazing service. It’s just great business and it’s the real differentiator, IMHO.

As a local Tampa Agent myself, I can tell you that I’ve gone through pain-staking efforts to obtain accurate, truthful, heartfelt reviews from clients of mine on those “big ticket” sites. There is a feature on the Agent Profile section where you can request reviews from your past clients. I do this from time-to-time, requesting that they be honest & accurate in describing their relationship with me w/regards to the real estate transaction in which I assisted them in. Surely, I have assisted well more than the # of reviews I have received. But sometimes, no matter how good or bad you did, you just can’t make the client write their story/testimonial. Shame on ANY agent that considers themselves a professional for making up any testimonials. Talk about giving our profession a bad name, and being unethical…..
